A major storm will hit America for the second time in 10 days. According to news agency Reuters, an alert has been issued regarding the storm 'Milton' in Florida. The National Hurricane Center ranked it as one of the most destructive Category 5 hurricanes. There is a risk of major loss of life and property in this category.
Milton could hit Florida's densely populated area of 'Tampa Bow' on Wednesday. Currently it is 1000 km away from Tampa. Tampa has a population of over 3 million. The storm is expected to weaken as it approaches Tampa Bay. After this it will move from central Florida to the Atlantic Ocean.
Hurricane Milton is currently moving through the Gulf of Mexico. The speed of the storm on Monday night was about 285 km per hour. It's headed to Florida State. Emergency alerts have been issued in 51 of Florida's 67 counties due to the storm.
Coastal areas in Florida are being evacuated. So far around 5 lakh people have been shifted to safe places. According to meteorologists, 'Milton' may hit on Wednesday. Earlier, Hurricane Helen hit America. At least 225 people have died in this.
