North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has sentenced 30 officials of the country to death. According to a report by South Korean media TV Chosun, these officials have been punished for failing to deal with the floods in North Korea. In fact, heavy rains caused landslides and floods in North Korea in July. Around 1 thousand people died during this. And 4 thousand houses were destroyed. However, Kim Jong dismissed these figures. He himself visited the flood affected areas. Officials found guilty of corruption and dereliction of duty The officials who were sentenced to death were found guilty of corruption and dereliction of duty. They have been held responsible for the damages and deaths caused during the disaster. North Korean state media KCNA has said that Kim Jong has ordered severe punishment for officials. However, the information about who these officers are has not come out. Dictator Kim Jong has said it could take 2-3 months to rebuild the flood-affected areas. He has declared 3 provinces of the country as special disaster emergency zones. According to a report by South Korean media Korean Times, there has been an increase in cases of public executions in North Korea after the Corona epidemic. Before Corona, there were 10 cases of public executions in a year in North Korea. But now about 100 people are being given this punishment every year. 30 minors shot in public Earlier in July, the dictatorial government of Kim Jong Un publicly shot 30 minor students. These students were accused of watching serials made in South Korea, which were Korean dramas or, according to South Korean local TV channel 'Chosun', the students watched South Korean dramas stored on their pen drives. It is called in-drama. Also in June, around 30 minors under the age of 17 were sentenced to life imprisonment and death penalty. According to a BBC report, two Korean minors were found with the videos in January this year, after which they were sentenced to 12 years of hard labour. Japanese, Korean and American dramas are banned in North Korea. Only Russian cinema or what the government deems appropriate is shown there. Under North Korea's Reactionary Ideology and Culture Rejection Act, which went into effect in December 2020, South Korean media carry the death penalty and up to 15 years in prison for those who watch it.
