However, now the release of 'The Legend of Maula Jatt' has been banned in India. Makers gave this information on October 2. The Pakistani film starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan was slated to release on the big screen in India on October 2, also on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
Both Fawad and Mahira have worked in Hindi films.
However, many political organizations and people started opposing the film even before its release. In Maharashtra, theater owners were also threatened. Now as soon as the case goes to court, its release has been put on hold.
Raj Thackeray tweeted warning not to release this film in Mumbai.
'The Legend of Maula Jatt' will not be released in India Nadeem Mandviwala, the distributor of this Pakistani film, revealed that the release of the film has been stopped for the time being in an application filed in the Indian court. Mandviwala said, 'Unfortunately, the release of the film has been delayed once again due to legal proceedings and nothing can be done until the court gives its verdict.'
