Bangladesh Police are taking Chinmoy Prabhu to the Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Tuesday.
Bangladesh has also reacted to the statement released by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs regarding the arrest of ISKCON chaplain Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu in Bangladesh. “It is very sad that the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das has been misrepresented by some,” Bangladesh's foreign ministry said on Tuesday.
The ministry said such statements not only misrepresent the facts but are also against the spirit of friendship and mutual understanding between the two neighboring countries. The Government of Bangladesh would like to reiterate that the Judiciary of the country is completely independent and the Government does not interfere in their functioning.

The Government of Bangladesh is committed to maintaining communal harmony in the country. Saiful Islam, a lawyer in Chittagong, is worried about Alif's brutal murder. The administration has stepped up security to ensure that religious tolerance is maintained at any cost.
Earlier, India had expressed displeasure over the arrest of Chinmoy Prabhu. India's Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement on Tuesday that it is concerned by the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das. The Ministry of External Affairs said that it is unfortunate that criminals roam freely, but cases are pending against religious leaders who raise legitimate demands through peaceful meetings.

The court rejected Chinmoy Prabhu's bail plea, sent him to jail Chinmoy Prabhu, a prominent face of the Hindu community in Bangladesh and associated with the ISKCON temple, was produced in court on November 26 in a sedition case registered at the Kotwali police station in Chittagong. A case of sedition was registered against Chinmoy Prabhu under sections 120(B), 124(A), 153(A), 109 and 34 of the Bangladesh Penal Code. However, the court rejected the bail application and sent him to jail.
Police fired tear gas shells and lathi-charged Chinmoy Prabhu's supporters outside the Chittagong court. Police fired rubber bullets to disperse the protesters. The people who came to protest the arrest of Chinmoy Prabhu were also removed by the police.
On the other hand, Chinmoy Prabhu, while addressing the supporters in the court premises, announced the continuation of the agitation as per the law.

Islamic extremists attack temples, burn houses of Dalits Islamic extremists attacked the Loknath temple in Chittagong on Tuesday afternoon. A mob of fanatics marched towards the temple chanting Allahu Akbar. In the evening too, many fanatics vandalized the Kali temple in Hazari Lane, Chittagong.
Meanwhile, a violent mob set fire to several houses in Chittagong's Dalit Colony. Earlier he had also threatened the Hindus of the area to close the shops. According to locals, the attackers were associated with Jamaat-e-Islami and opposition party BNP.
Lawyer dies in Chittagong
A lawyer has died during a demonstration in support of Chinmoy Prabhu in Chittagong. The slain lawyer has been identified as Saiful Islam alias Alif (35). It is not yet clear how the lawyer died. He was taken to Chittagong Medical College this evening, where doctors declared him brought dead. Saiful was an Assistant Public Prosecutor in Chittagong.
On the lawyer's death, Chittagong Bar Association president Nazim Uddin Chaudhary alleged that the protesters had grabbed Saiful from the chambers and killed him. Mohammad Yunus, chief adviser to Bangladesh's interim government, has condemned Saiful's killing and ordered an investigation.

Demonstration for the release of Chinmoy Das
The protest that started on Monday for the release of Chinmay Krishna Das Prabhu continues in Bangladesh. Today i.e. Tuesday there were demonstrations in different parts. Protesters blocked roads in Dhaka, Chittagong and Dinajpur and raised slogans demanding early release of Prabhu. According to media reports, a case is pending against Chinmoy Das Prabhu for sedition and disturbing communal harmony.
On Monday, protesters were attacked with sticks by some people who were protesting in Dhaka's Shahbagh. More than 20 people have been injured in this attack. He was admitted to the hospital. The place where the Hindus were attacked is just 30 meters away from the Shahbag police station.
It is being said that while the extremists were attacking people who were peacefully protesting, the administration and the police did not take any action to stop them.

When and how was Chinmoy Prabhu arrested? Bangladesh Police arrested Chinmay Krishna Das Brahmachari from Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday. He was going to Chittagong. ISKCON members present at the scene said that the DB police did not show any arrest warrant. They just said they wanted to talk. After this they put him in a microbus and took him away.

After the rally, on October 31, Feroze Khan, leader of Begum Khaleda's BNP party, filed a sedition case against 19 people, including Chinmoy Krishna Das, in Chittagong. He is accused of insulting the national flag.
