Yunus government of Bangladesh has recalled 2 of its diplomats from Kolkata and Tripura. On December 2, the Bangladeshi High Commission in Agartala was infiltrated. Demonstrations were also held outside the Deputy High Commission in Kolkata.
Due to these incidents, Bangladesh's interim government decided to recall the diplomats on December 3. However, this information has now come to light.
Acting Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Kolkata Mohammad Asharfur Rahman has reached Dhaka. He also met Tawheed Hussain, Foreign Adviser to the Government of Bangladesh. Bangladeshi Assistant High Commissioner of Tripura Arif Mohammad has not reached Dhaka at present.
On the other hand, protests are also taking place in Bangladesh in response to the Agartala-Kolkata incident. Bangladeshi leaders on Thursday called for a boycott of Indian products by burning Indian saris in Dhaka.
Bangladesh Nationalist Party leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi protested against India by burning an Indian saree in Dhaka. The demonstration was against the intrusion of the Dhaka Commission into Agartala.
Both the diplomats will report on the ongoing protests in India.
Bangladesh's foreign ministry alleged that supporters of Indian Hindutva organizations desecrated the Bangladeshi flag at the High Commission in Agartala on December 2. They also attacked the premises. On December 3, Bangladesh closed the High Commission.
The Bangladesh government is yet to say when the two diplomats will be sent back to India. No information has been given yet about the re-opening of the Agartala High Commission. According to media reports, the two diplomats will present a report on the status of protests against Bangladesh in India.
The intrusion took place during the protest against the arrest of Chinmoy Prabhu
Tripura Congress staged a protest in Agartala on Monday against Chief Advisor to Bangladesh Muhammad Yunus. Chinmaya Prabhu was demanded to be released.
On 2 December, many people rallied around the Bangladeshi mission to protest the arrest of former Bangladesh ISKCON head Chinmoy Prabhu. Meanwhile, more than 50 protesters stormed the premises of the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala.
Three sub inspectors were suspended in this case. The DSP was asked to report to the police headquarters for dereliction of duty. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs also said – the incident of infiltration is very regrettable.

Chinmaya Krishna Das Brahmachari's real name is Chandan Kumar Dhar.
Chinmaya Krishna Das Brahmachari's real name is Chandan Kumar Dhar. He is the head of Chittagong ISKCON. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left the country on August 5, 2024 amid the ongoing violence in Bangladesh. This was followed by large-scale violence against Hindus.
After this, the Sanatan Jagran Manch was formed to protect the interests of Bangladeshi Hindus and minorities. Chinmay Prabhu became its spokesman. Through the Sanatan Jagran Manch, Chinmay addressed several rallies in Chittagong and Rangpur. Thousands of people participated in it.
Why was Chinmay Prabhu arrested? On October 25, Sanatan Jagran Manch held a rally at Laldighi Ground in Chittagong with 8 point demands. In which Chinmay Krishna Das gave a speech. Meanwhile, some people hoisted the saffron flag on the Azadi Pillar in New Market Chowk. This flag had 'Aami Sanatani' written on it.
After the rally, on October 31, Feroze Khan, leader of Begum Khaleda's BNP party, filed a sedition case against 19 people, including Chinmoy Krishna Das, in Chittagong. He is accused of insulting the national flag.

- Sheikh Hasina demanded Chinmay's release: Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina condemned the arrest of ISKCON's Chinmoy Prabhu and asked the interim government to release him immediately. Hasina said that a prominent leader of Sanatan Dharma has been unjustly arrested.

- Arrest of Hindu priest Shyam Das Prabhu: Another religious leader associated with ISKCON, Shyam Das Prabhu, was arrested in Chittagong. Shyam went to meet Chinmoy Das in jail. He was arrested without a warrant. ISKCON Kolkata Vice Chairman and Spokesperson Radharaman Das gave this information.

- 83 ISKCON members in Bangladesh stopped from going to India: Bangladesh immigration police stopped 54 ISKCON members at the border who were traveling to India with valid passports and visas. These people were going to India to participate in a religious event. In this regard, the Immigration Police says that despite having valid passports and visas, they did not have special permission from the government.
