Dr. Harpal Buddhists

Social revolutionary Jyotiba Phule and her spouse Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule have made an invaluable contribution to the history of modern India. History of modern India seems incomplete without mention of Phule couple. Through the works of Jyotiba Phule, India got a new outlook, innovative thinking and scientific and rationalistic approach. Born in Maharashtra in the 19th century, Jyotiba Phule, in her 63 years of life, did innovative works in every sector of Indian society and did significant work in the direction of creating an egalitarian society. Jyotiba Phule had established human values by rebelling against the prevailing evils, heresy, superstition, tyranny, injustice, oppression in the society, the nation. Awakened the lax and dying humanity, broke the inhuman bonds, shackles, barriers between human beings through compassion, friendship, brotherhood and completed the great task of building an egalitarian society through good faith, cordiality, virtue and virtue. In the 19th century, when education was monopolized by certain communities, it was difficult for Jyotiba Phule, a Shudra Mali caste, to get an education. He was then educated at the Scottish Mission School. Self-educated, she established the country's first school for girls in Poona in 1848, laying a strong foundation for women's education. He started his education from his own home. He made his wife Savitribai the 'first woman teacher-teacher in India' by teaching amid opposition from orthodox society. 175 years ago, Jyotiba Phule opened the doors of education to all the underprivileged communities and made an unprecedented 'Education Revolution' at a time when getting education for Shudras, Untouchables and women was considered a grave sin and unrighteousness. In the short span of four years from 1848 to 1852, the Phule couple launched the 'Great Educational Movement', starting 18 schools in and around Poona. He called education the 'third jewel', through which ignorance and avidya can be penetrated. Jyotiba Phule made a fundamental change in her life by linking the problems of women-education, widow-remarriage, caste abolition, peasants and workers with the national interest. Devoted to the unbearable pains of the deprived, exploited of the society and devoted himself whole to remove their miseries. Jyotiba Phule did significant work for untouchability. He gave first priority to the work of women empowerment in the social sector. Women's education, women's freedom, women's awareness were their main goals in the women's empowerment movement. In 'Sarvajanika Satya Dharma Book' he emphasized on the equality of both men and women in the marriage ceremony. He was the first to draw attention to the use of the labor of newly married bridegrooms as 'bond labour' in the family in which the marriage takes place. He called a meeting of about 500 women in Mumbai and took an oath against the practice of keshmundan of widows. In 1873, he founded the 'Satyashodhak Samaj' and started an egalitarian movement against social evils, heresy, orthodoxy. By writing literary works like 'Gulamgiri', 'Sarvajnik Satyadharma', 'Kisan Ka Koda', 'Tritiya Ratna', 'Shivaji Ka Panwada', he made the society aware of superstition, heresy, fabrication, injustice and inequality. He truly became a flame against darkness and ignorance. The education movement of Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule has played an important role in the right to education for all women in India today. It is because of their sacrifice, dedication and strong social works that India's vast underprivileged and neglected communities have gained foothold and respect today. Jyotiba Phule was a warrior who restored human dignity. }
