Karachi Biscuits
Ingredients: Flour-1 cup, Butter-half cup, Brown sugar-half cup, Custard powder-half cup, Baking powder-half teaspoon, Baking soda-pinch, Cardamom powder-half teaspoon, Tuttifruiti-half cup, Cashew pieces-1 cup, pineapple essence-pa spoon Method : Beat the butter and brown sugar well in a bowl. Beat continuously until the color turns white. Now mix pineapple essence, fenugreek, custard powder, baking powder and baking soda in it. Then mix the cashew pieces, tuttifruiti and pour milk little by little and knead the dough. Wrap it on a large plastic wrap and let it set in the fridge for half an hour. Once it is set properly, cut it into rectangles and bake it in the oven at 180 degrees for about fifteen minutes. Enjoy the delicious Karachi Biscuits as it cools down..
Oatmeal Dry Fruit Biscuits
Ingredients: Sesame flour-2 cups, dry coriander powder-2 spoons, oats-1 cup, butter-1 cup, brown sugar-1 cup, finely chopped mixed dry fruits-1 cup, baking powder-half spoon, fresh milk-as required Method : Sift flour and baking powder into a large bowl. In another bowl, add butter, brown sugar and a little fresh milk and beat it with a beater. Mix copra powder, chopped dry fruits and flour in it and make a soft dough. Add some milk if needed. Make small loaves from the flour, dip them in milk, dip them in the oats and arrange them in a baking tray. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and leave the biscuits to bake for ten minutes and let them cool.
Mary Biscuit
Ingredients: Wheat and Mendo mix flour-one and a half cups, milk-half a cup, brown sugar-two and a half spoons, butter-2 spoons, baking soda-one spoon, salt-pinch Method: Add baking soda, baking powder and salt to the flour and sift it. Dissolve brown sugar in milk. Mix butter in flour and pour milk little by little to make a soft dough. Cut a medium thick loaf from the flour with a round cutter. Arrange the butter paper sheet in the baking tray by making a hole around it with the help of a toothpick. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees and bake the biscuits for 10 to 12 minutes.
Ragi Biscuits
Method: First of all sift both the flour, baking soda and salt. Beat the butter in a large bowl until fluffy. Now add jaggery powder little by little and keep mixing. Beat this mixture continuously for another ten minutes. Now mix flour little by little. Pour milk and gently knead the dough. If needed, another two spoons of milk can be added. Cover the dough with plastic and refrigerate for 1 hour. Preheat the oven for five minutes and make a pandan shape from the dough. Arrange in a baking tray lined with butter paper, keeping some space between them. Allow to bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Once completely cooled, fill the healthy ragi biscuits in an airtight container.
Ingredients: Ragi flour-1 cup, Wheat flour-1 cup, Jaggery powder-1/2 cup, White butter-1/2 cup, Baking soda-1 tsp, Salt-pinch, Vanilla essence-1 tsp, Milk-2 tsp
Butter Biscuits
Ingredients: Mendo-1 cup, wheat flour-1 cup, semolina-2 spoon, white butter-half cup, ghee-pa cup, cumin-1 spoon, curd-2 spoon, sweet-chapta, baking powder-1 spoon, baking Soda-pa spoon, butter Sugar-pa spoon Method : First of all collect all the ingredients. All ingredients should be at room temperature. Now beat the butter and ghee well in a bowl. Mix cumin, brown sugar and salt when the mixture becomes completely white. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes. Now sift flour, wheat flour, semolina, baking powder and baking soda in the butter mixture. Mix all the ingredients gently. Place butter paper on an oven tray and take the mixture with a spoon, keeping a little distance on the tray. Biscuits will take about 20 to 25 minutes to bake. Butter Biscuits are ready which looks very tasty with tea.
Ginger Biscuits
Ingredients: Flour-2 cups, wheat flour-1 cup, butter-1 cup, brown sugar-1 cup, salt-pinch, ginger powder-3 spoons, flour-2 cups, baking powder-2 spoons, fresh milk-as required Method: Sift both flour and baking powder into a bowl. In another bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar and milk until very fluffy. Add flour to this mixture and keep mixing gently in one direction and knead the dough. Let the dough rest for fifteen minutes. Preheat the oven. Cut a round shape from the prepared dough with a large loaf cutter. Apply ghee in a baking tray and arrange the biscuits and bake for fifteen minutes. Once the biscuits are nice and crispy, put them in an airtight container.
