After rejecting all traditions and customs, he rose to fame by playing a bold role in the first film 'Chetana'. Then he made a big mistake reaching the peak of his acting career. In such circumstances Rehana Sultan entered. Coming from a Bahá'í family, the girl's father used to sell electronics, but her daughter had bigger dreams. Rehana, who had an unruly personality since childhood, got admission in Pune's famous Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) at the age of 18. He caused a stir in Bollywood with his acting and bold look. Reha burst onto the silver screen in the 1970s after taking acting lessons. Film director B. R. Seema was seen in the lead role in Ishara's film 'Chetana'. The story line of the film was based on the life of a sex worker. In this film, Rehana surprised the audience and critics by playing the role of a 'call girl'. People appreciated his performance a lot. Rehana became a super star overnight. Satyajit Ray, the greatest director of that time, also praised Rehana's performance. However, at that time Rehana Sultan had no idea that this film would prove to be her biggest mistake and her career would be ruined. After the film 'Chetana', Rehana played the lead role of Salma Ahmed in Rajendra Singh Bedi's 'Dastak'. In the film, composer Madanmohan sang 'Baiya na dharo, o balma…', 'O mai ri main kaase kahoon pir apne jiya ki…' 'Tumse kahoon ik baat' and 'Hum hai mata-e-koocha-o-bazar ki tarah.. .', served up unforgettable music with beautifully decorated songs. Rehana's performance in 'Dastak' was excellent. She won the National Award for Best Actress in this film. Rehana's name is inscribed in golden letters in Hindi cinema with excellent acting. Rehana became a hit in the film industry overnight due to her unique all-out look. At that time, how did he know that even after gaining immense fame, his life is not going to get on track! After 'Chetana' and 'Dastak', Rehana Sultan started getting offers for only bold films. He turned down several film offers simultaneously due to offers of pornographic films. Then he started appearing in small films. These films did not produce anything special. Then gradually Rehana was thrown out of the film industry. In an interview, Rehana told her grief, 'The dialogues given to me were not bold but obscene. I was only stereotyped for one type of role. Producers always came to me with bold films. They used to ask me to play sexy scenes in the rain. For this reason I turned down many roles and only worked in a select few.' Rehana Sultan is not only on the silver screen but also in real life. At one point, he was 16 years older than him, a film director-writer B. R. Married to Ishara. After marriage, they stayed away from the glamor world. Rehana's husband B. R. Ishara passed away in the year 2012 in Mumbai. Rehana was last seen on the big screen in the role of Maya's mother in the 2013 film 'Inkaar'. He is currently living in anonymity at the age of 73. Some time ago it was known that his financial condition had deteriorated. During the illness, he took the walk to raise funds for the treatment. The Cine and Television Artistes Association also helped him financially.}
