Mood and Mind: The Magic of Thoughts…Makes Simple Life Complicated

Dr. Spandan Thacker

Pali was studying in her final year of college. Deepali, who was considered to be the smartest in the whole family, was about to fulfill her dream. As soon as the degree was in hand, she had completed all the preparations for further studies by taking the test to go abroad, but for the last 2-3 weeks, Deepali began to feel that some unseen force was holding her back. Can't remember anything read. Wrong thoughts started in sleep all night due to which sleep was not completed. If some people are talking, it seems as if they are making him a target. There are strange sounds in the ears that make you want to scream. The sounds of people talking bad about him, laughing or mocking him made him anxious. Gradually these thoughts increased so much that I stopped going out of the house. He begins to feel that there is a whole group outside that is making some evil plan for him. Bad videos of themselves are out there and seen by all. Due to which now he cannot face anyone. Everyone in the house explained that there is nothing like that but Deepali was not ready to believe it. This condition is considered in psychology as a delusional thinking disease, i.e. a disease with psychotic symptoms. In which a person begins to live inside a fantasy world away from reality in which everyone is against him. Thoughts of blasphemy or doubt circulate in a person's mind to such an extent that even after giving any argument or proof against it, a person cannot believe it to be true. Traumatic experiences in childhood may be responsible for this disease. A person who has been under stress for some time is also more likely to have such fantasy thoughts along with depression. A chemical in the brain called dopamine is associated with mood. Such symptoms can occur when dopamine secretion fluctuates inappropriately. If these symptoms are not treated at the right time, then due to this disease, the person gets trapped in a delusional trap. Due to which his personal development can be stopped. A feature of this disease is that it is more likely to occur in a person with high intelligence. The use of medicines is the first step in this treatment. This disease can be cured very well with some specific psychotherapy along with medication. Mood Mantra: When wrong thoughts are fitted into the data of the mind, the help of a psychiatrist is necessary to remove them.
