Life's Nod Poem: An Adventure on the Uncharted Road…

Some compositions rush from the eye to the heart when read like the wind. Represent us on our behalf. What we have to say, the poet himself should testify by writing a poem! The poet of Marathi composition is Namdev Dhasal. Chandrakanta is the translation of Topiwala. The translation is also overwhelming. As many words as the poem needs, not a single extra word has been used! It is a poem that makes the heart feel more free as each word hangs on to the next. Dedication is the soul of the entire poem. Acceptance of what has been received and celebration of that acceptance! That too with 'own'. Dialogue with 'self' too! In this 'self' there is no ego, there is an idyllic realm of silence. Often we realize half way down the road that we have gone the wrong way. Some freeze on the road. Some turn back. But the poet moves on. Also, don't say anything while moving! 'Walking' accepts that it is destiny. The darkness is starting to feel familiar. Even if the path is chosen wrong! If our walk is honest, even the darkness of the road will become familiar! The wind on the road feels like a lonely stranger passing through the autobiography of the city! What is in the autobiography of a city? Feeling betrayed? Its root is to recognize pain! Darkness stirs as the wind blows the leaves. The unconscious is not actually inert. If we get stuck in the shape of the unconscious, there is also a sense of dance in that. How many familiar things are found on the road which was not like walking. Where the path was not accepted, the interworld becomes miraculous. Now the prosperity of the road—both outside and inside—is met. It rains for a long time. A few further steps up the road are to be fainter, but walking the untouched earth where it has never rained – befriending the darkness – reading the autobiography of the city and finding the inner world? Even the form of the rain is endless, isn't it! Those who know how to live today never fall into the pitfalls of tomorrow! He enjoys it as the day comes. If you can enjoy what you have got in life, both outside and inside the world will be rooted in the name of eternity! Temptation forgets the knowledge without information! Where acceptance is cultivated, every moment is a festival. That which is to go is the day and yet that which is to be added is also the day. Adventures on unknown roads are never less exciting! Jawahar Bakshi's share comes to mind. 'Today passed without incident the sun rose again and set again' } The day came, the day went… The road we walked, we should not have walked. As we walked forward the darkness became familiar The lonely wind passed through the city Autobiography Feeling betrayed Searching for the root of pain Yesterday here only darkness rose like a thousand leaves Today the whole universe is wondrous. It has started raining for a long time. On this untouched earth. We lived as we found the day. – Namdev Dhsal Anu : Chandrakanta with hat
