Mandvi is considered to be the birthplace of Kachchi Dabeli. Mandvi, a coastal town, occupies another place in Gujarat tourism. The Kashi-Vishwanath beach here has a wind farm of windmills to generate electricity along the coast. Mandvi is also famous for sailing. In olden days there were facilities of ships and fireboats to go from Mandvi to Mumbai, Arabia and Africa. Today, if tourists come to Kutch to see the white desert, Mandvi must come to see the beach. Then the golden evening sky alone defines the port city.
