Kama Art: Is it a problem if different levels of sex drive are different?

Both men and women have different levels of desire for intercourse. Due to this, problems are increasing in married life nowadays. In the absence of sexual compatibility, husband and wife do not talk to each other on this issue. Not taking care of each other's needs, due to which the problems grow day by day and eventually lead to divorce. According to a research, dissatisfaction in the physical relationship becomes the main reason for the rift in the relationship. Research shows that people who complain about not having their sex-related desires met have more problems in their marriages. At the same time, the more those whose physical relationship needs are met, the better their marital life and the fewer problems. Due to dissatisfaction in physical relationships, one has to struggle with embarrassment, depression and stress to suppress one's desires. Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, said nearly 100 years ago that every human being is born with two instincts – a life instinct and a death instinct. The life instinct includes the sexual activities i.e. the desire to relate, which energy he named 'kamvasana'. This energy is the basis of life. This is how the world is created. In fact, along with physical fitness, love, romance, hormones and mental health all affect libido levels in some people and low in others. According to a report in the 'Journal of Sex' published in 2016, women who have higher levels of libido are more satisfied in physical relationships. Their 'active sex life' is also good. People with high sex drive often face problems like embarrassment, depression, guilt etc. if they find a partner who cannot match them, which affects their professional and personal life. Experts say that 'sex drive' is a very personal thing, which is different for everyone. For some, 'low drive' is normal and for some 'high drive' is also normal. Dopamine and serotonin are the hormones that affect it the most. While dopamine increases sexual drive, serotonin regulates it. Thus, these hormones also play an important role in sex drive. At such a stage, when the sex drives of the partners do not match each other, it is necessary to have a proper dialogue and try to understand each other's sexual impulses and provide them with proper satisfaction. It means that both the partners should understand each other well, keeping in mind each other's desires and try to enjoy intercourse happily.
