Question: I have completely lost hearing in both my ears. So I can't hear at all and I can't even talk on the phone. I want to do master degree and phd for further study. So can I get visa for any country?- Ajay Nayak, Ahmedabad Answer : Generally Immigration ie PR. Or for a green card for such a person to become a US citizen after getting a green card in a form number N-648 with his expert medical MD. The interview can be given by sending the doctor's certificate and signature, so that there is no problem. But if you want to apply for student visa, you should check online whether there is any such facility. Second, if you had the same hearing condition even when you graduated, state how you studied or if there is a deaf-mute institute in Ahmedabad, it can be checked. Providing your phone number can provide more information. Question: I wanted to fly from Ahmedabad to Delhi by America Vistara Airlines. When we went to the immigration, the immigration officer said that you have an LOC with your name in front of you. So your immigration is rejected. So would you advise on this? – Rajnikant Shah, Ahmedabad Answer : In the language of immigration, LOC means (Look Out Circular). This is a circular addressed to the Directorate Immigration Authority of Govt. Stopping the physical movement of a person means not allowing him to go abroad. This means that the immigration detainer will not allow the person to leave the country until the notice is in effect and the investigation is ongoing. If you have any pending criminal case or any other case, it should be finally cleared. Question: My son Soham has received a rejection in his US F-1 student visa. All the profiles were fine. The interview was also good. So what should be kept in mind to avoid rejection the second time? – Rakesh Solanki, Odhav, Ahmedabad Answer : There are many reasons for rejection of F-1 student visa. For example, the reputation of the university or college means not having a good ranking, good performance in the interview means that the answers are not right, the score in the exam given in English is low, etc. If there are many reasons, rejection will come. If you apply again, try for the second time only if you have taken admission in a good college and have done all the preparation. Just because the profile is right does not get a visa. Apart from that many things are required. Question: I am 74 years old and want to petition for a green card, but I do not have a birth certificate. But yes, school living certificate and municipal corporation has given me certificate of no record. If there is no birth certificate, what is the procedure to file a petition?- Kaushik Shah, Anand Answer: You can file a petition based on the certificate of No Record, which will be considered valid. Registration of birth at the time of your birth was not mandatory, as the Registration of Births and Deaths Act has been legally in force in India since 31-5-1969. So a person born before that will not get a birth certificate. So looking at your age it looks like you were born in 1950. You do not need a birth certificate. Apart from this you should get two affidavits as per the relevant format from two surviving persons on your date of birth. Question: I am a British citizen and have been living in India since 2017 with OCI. I am currently working as a senior manager in a pharmacy company. I have visited USA last year under visa waiver program. Now I want to visit USA with my wife and 16 year old twin son and daughter, will my family benefit from being a British citizen for a visitor visa?- Rakesh Goswami, Ahmedabad Answer : Yes, if your wife and children also have British passports, does it matter? not You state that their passports have been renewed. Even if it is an Indian passport, there is no problem in applying. Apply only after preparing the visa form as well as your job papers, interview etc perfectly.
