Henna colored: Dreaming while sleeping

Let the dream come to Mandodari while sleeping, go and tell it to Ravana. Sono Swami is such a fire in his dreams, Ramdoote is burning everything in the city. A sleeping dream will come to Mandodari… A monkey will break the coat of gold, Ram will shake the city like this. A dream came to Mandodari while he was sleeping… He will kill my sensitive son, he will cut someone like Kumbhakaran. A dream came to Mandodari while he was sleeping… Rama will come and cut ten shish, he will give your kingdom to Vibhishan. Sleeping dreams come to Mandodari… False dreams come to Mandodari, my dear, there is no death in the three worlds. Sleeping dreams come to Mandodari… Shatkoti are the arms of the sea, there are a million sons and a quarter of a million sons-in-law. Sleep dreams come to Mandodari… Among the folk songs of Saurashtra, most of the folk songs are of Lord Shri Krishna, there are folk songs of Rama but not so much. Krishna remained unbreakable with Saurashtra. Also, Kanudo means the essence of rasa and when it comes to rasa, folk songs come, because folk songs are the essence of rasa! The folk songs of Saurashtra are mostly full-length, songs that are suitable for taking ras, that is why many folk songs of Kanaiya are sung while taking ras. 'Sootan Sapno Mandodariine Aviha Re…' is not a very well-known song, but it is sattvasheel, tattvasheel. Mandodari had already dreamed of the chaos that was going to happen in Lanka on account of Lord Shriram. This folk song tells Ravana what is hidden in the womb of the future. Why does Ravana, a great devotee of Shiva, not get a glimpse of the future? But according to the stories either he wanted salvation at the hands of Rama or Ahankari is always seen waving his flag everywhere. Mandodari says I dreamed that some messenger of Ram came and burnt our whole town. Vanarasena breaks the entire coat, Rama shakes our city. Son Indrajit and brother Kumbhakarna are killed. Rama cuts off your ten heads and enthrones Vibhishana on the throne of Lanka, Ravana now wake up. However, Ravana, overflowing with alcohol, retorted that Mandodari, your dream will remain only a dream. Dreams don't come true. In none of the three worlds is there anyone who can kill me. On the other hand, I am protected by seven oceans, I am supported by a million sons and a quarter of a million sons-in-law, who can kill me? Thus, here Ravana utters the language of a proud person, but in the end, everyone knows that Mandodari's dream came true. The gist of the folk song is that a person who is overwhelmed by ego only shows his own strength, he does not listen to anything of his relatives and in the end he sees his own destruction. A few more songs and hymns are also found in which Mandodari warns Ravana. A Ramgari type of hymn is- Hey Ji Wala What Re Kamano Mara Kanthji, Sita brought Sheedane Hari? Abaru Karki King Ramni, lost Lanka came home… In this bhajan also there are variations according to the region.
