From the balcony of existence: Novah's new Nexus…

Rarely, when Jaha U Val Novah Harari writes something, the ideological movement increases throughout the world. His new book 'Nexus' is in the news these days, as for the first time he leaves a slightly pessimistic tone and says that there is a possibility of a bridge between humans, machines and the natural world. Such a positive observation adds to the excitement of celebrating Diwali, because humanity sitting on the shores of technology should also take a little stock, as we do every year on Diwali. This book is not very different from his previous books in one way, but reveals some new dimensions. At first, the boundaries were drawn very thickly for technology, that it is inanimate, it is a machine, it is our servant. Those borders are now blurring. The new dimensions of AI seem to be reshaping the world. Thus we have two subjects before us, one which is the nature or natural world created by God and the other which is the man-made machine. This is an exciting nascent hour of human evolution. Kalidasa writes about Shakuntala's love for nature in 'Shakuntal' when the bride leaves, Shakuntala gets a new bud on a plant, a saffron festival. So people who want to do something new in the world or see the world constantly changing and are connected with the conviction and love that they are also a part of that change, are wandering around the world to understand and understand the world. Even so, the war-torn world faces many existential challenges on a daily basis. Starting from the day the Twin Towers collapsed at the beginning of this century, Corona and now war forces us to think about the present and the future in a very different way. Thus the orderliness that existed in the world was due to the acceptance of the principle of 'coexistence'. But 'competitive religiosity', racism and identity conflicts are now dealing a fatal blow to coexistence. It is a first time occurrence of technology in this form at such a time. Until now, even though the technology is very powerful, the situation of self-judgment, self-learning has not arisen, but now machine learning, deep learning and automation have reached a completely different level, which futurists still call the pre-revolutionary stage. . Many technology experts including Harari, historians, psychologists, anthropologists, sociologists are studying all around to imagine and picture how the divine and monstrous forms of data can create horrible situations. There are all signs and indications that the flow of data flowing through the veins and arteries of the world may disrupt the human chemistry of opinion-building somewhere, democracy. Harari then, for the first time in this book, sounds a little more thin and transparent optimism, it is like believing our Diwali swastika. The optimism I have heard is expressed in English like this, 'The future of humanity is not a story of machines replacing humans, but humans merging with machines to create something entirely new.' (P.217). Hence, what modern anthropologists call the new frontier of co-existence, this is the promising human-machine juxtaposition. So now there is no need to fear that robots will take all the jobs tomorrow. In this new world, the work you do today will be done by machines, so you will have to learn to live with a new skill. Therefore, at the beginning of Marxism, Hegel and other thinkers examined this dilemma, because on the one hand, the capitalist had to expand and increase his capital, on the other hand, the laborer understood his rights, but he had to work, the only condition was That his lifestyle should be improved. Conflict followed by dialogue and then harmony permeating the atmosphere made life so precious that such new definitions of coexistence must be made from time to time in the development or evolution of man. If we are to orchestrate this new coexistence, a new global framework must be created by harnessing what scientists and intellectuals now call transformative technologies. AI has arrived and is not coming back. There has to be a global consensus and rules to ensure that it is not misused. Just as codes of conduct governing destructive nuclear weapons are being drafted, agreements restricting the destructive aspects of AI will have to be formulated in the coming years. This green marked nexus can be reached only in this way.
