Maya Bhadauria:
We call this end of the earth home, but in many places that end of the earth is the abode of spirits. Today we have to talk about a castle in the world where after the death of two women hundreds of years ago, the castle is still in the possession of the White and Blue Lady. Barry Pomeroy Castle in England was built by Henry Pomeroy in the late thirteenth century. However, the construction of the castle took so many years that it was finished after Henry's death. The then King William of England gifted the land of the castle to Ralph de Pomeroy for his honesty and help during the war. The Pomeroy family lived in the castle for almost 500 years. Then in 1540 Edward Shemour, the influential man of that time, bought this fort. Edward had great faith in God and was always ready for those who believed in God. Due to this, his enemies increased. Edward fell into the trap of some people's quarrels and was imprisoned. He was convicted on more than 25 charges and sentenced to death. After that, the royal family took over the fort.
100 years later the family's fortunes were depleted after supporting the Royalists during the Navjeevan Civil War. A major part of the fort was destroyed by lightning in the late 17th century. At that time the family left this fort. Surprisingly, this fort remained in ruins for almost 100 years. Then in the 19th century some romantic poets and artists explored it. Due to the beauty around the fort, researchers gradually became interested in knowing the history of the fort. Archaeological excavations began in the fort between 1980 and 1996. After that a lot of information about its history was found. As the years passed and the number of explorers and tourists visiting the fort also increased. At the same time supernatural events and stories were woven. Many people claim that they have seen ghosts in buildings here, heard strange noises, even experienced panic attacks.
What happened in the castle? This fort has witnessed many incidents and tragedies. Talking about one such incident, Lady Margaret Pomeroy and her sister Eleanor Pomeroy also lived in this castle. Eleanor was older and prouder than Margaret. Margate was a warehouse of sorts. Her simple nature and beauty were talked about in the fort at that time. Eleanor does not like this at all. At that time the castle was owned by Eleanor. Eleanor treated her sister very cruelly. He also stopped eating and drinking. Hence Rebai died of hunger.
Who are the White Lady and the Blue Lady? The spirits of two women still roam the fort. One is a white lady and the other is a blue lady. Screams from the fort still scare the locals. White Lady: The castle has a tower called Margate where Margate lived. It was in this tower that his sister kept him imprisoned. Even today Margate's spirit does not leave the tower. Brown light is always seen here in the evening. No one knows how or where this light comes from. If a man reaches here even by mistake, Margate's soul attracts him. Then it doesn't have any solution. Blue Lady: When a traveler appears around, the Blue Lady draws him to her. Even if someone reaches it by mistake, his death is certain. It is said that she could not forget the pain of losing her child and her soul wanders in the dungeon. Many feel it even during the day. An incident from years ago. At that time Walter was appointed as a doctor in this fort. One day the manager's wife fell down the stairs and got injured. Walter went to the castle to cure the woman. When he went to the sick woman's room, he heard a strange noise. Walter panicked a little. When he looked in the direction from which the sound came, he saw a shadow near the stairs. who is there As soon as he asked this, the shadow disappeared. The woman was slowly recovering from the medicine given by Walter, but then she suddenly died. When the woman died, her body was not in bed but by the stairs.
The Ghost of Baby Isabella It is also believed that the ghost of baby Isabella frequented the kitchen of Barry Pomeroy Castle. She was about nine years old. It is also rumored that she was the illegitimate child of a Pomeroy aristocrat and a servant. One evening she suddenly came into the kitchen while playing and saw that some members of the royal family were torturing her mother. A little girl intervened to save her mother, but both mother and daughter died. From that time, everyone in the kitchen began to feel the impression of a girl child.
