Did the Prime Minister visit the European country Poland recently? If we look at it like this, the historical relationship between Poland and India can also be considered in the way that during the Second World War, Maharaja Jam Saheb Digvijaysinhji of Jamnagar gave shelter to more than 600 people from Poland. And even today Poland has not forgotten the contribution of that Maharaja of India. When I heard about Poland, I remembered that this small European country is rich in history, art and natural beauty, but the crooked forest here is no less a natural wonder. In this forest in the village of Nowe Jarnow, Poland, the trees are shaped like snakes, which makes one's eyes widen with wonder. Immediately, the mind is confused that what will these trees eventually turn into? There are no crooked forests around the world, but this crooked forest looks like something out of a science fiction. This forest is known worldwide for its serpentine trees. Not 50, 60, but straight 90 degree J shape of trees that would surprise anyone. The wonder is that for years researchers have been trying to find out the mystery of these trees, but what if they can solve this mystery? Most of the trees in Crooked Forest are pines i.e. cedars. No one understands why these trees are bent at 90 degrees. Also, this number is not small, about 400 trees have become world famous due to their strange shape.
Various beliefs suggest that these trees were planted here before the start of World War II i.e. before 1930. This is because every tree seen in the forest from that time till now has a different shape. The story of when and how the cedar trees in this crooked forest got twisted is a bit strange. Many believe that the trees are twisted due to the force of gravity in the forest, another belief is that the people of other planets are behind the strange twisting of the trees or some human device or technology has been used to twist the trees in this way. Maybe, but then what is that method? That too is still a mystery. So this question has not been put to rest yet.
What do the researchers say? Researchers believe that the forest dwellers must have planted these trees around 1925-1928 and shaped them only then. It may be that they wanted to make furniture from the wood of bent trees, so they should have been bent only when the tree was 10 years old. They may have done this deliberately by preventing the trees from growing taller. Then around 1939 i.e. after the Second World War they would have left there. Thus, these traces remained for decades.
This may even be a theory! One theory is that these trees are only found in one part of the forest and were shaped like this by the German army. In 1939, Germany invaded Poland and bent these small trees so tightly that they later grew straight at 90 degrees. Another theory says that aliens from another planet came to this part of the forest and the trees were twisted by UFOs.
The strange thing about the trees is that even after these strange trees droop from 3 to 9 feet in the forest where the spirits live, they continue to grow towards the north. Whether the appearance of the trees is beautiful or strange can only be decided by the beholder, but many tourists do not visit this forest due to fear. Some people call this place haunted. According to them, spirits wander here at night and many have experienced it.
