Crime Secret: American book reveals the secret of a rare case in India

Raj Bhaskar

Jayaraj, son of Laxman Patel and Yashoda of Piparia village in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, goes missing on 29th March – 2023 and his corpse is found 45 days later on 14th May 2023 in a field near the village. Based on the clothes, the parents say it's their son's remains, but the DNA doesn't match. Jayaraj Laxman and Yashoda had a test tube baby i.e. a child born through IVF. The parents begin to thump the police, courts and ministers' houses for the cremation of their son's skull, but there are many questions before the police. Was the skull Jayaraj's or not? Since Jayaraj was a test tube baby, his parents were not known by DNA, so now how to get the information that he was the child of Laxman and Yashoda? What seemed to be a common case of kidnapping and murder had now become one of the rare cases. Additional Superintendent of Police Sandeep Mishra was working hard for a year to unravel the mystery of this rare case. One day S.P. Sandeep Mishra was reading a case reference book of FSL. It was about missing children in America. There were similar cases of missing children born through IVF technology. That is, the article was about the abductions of test tube babies and the search for their parents. Sandeep Mishra's eyes widened after reading the title of the article. The thing was that their parents had written complaints about missing children born through IVF in America. Many of the children were found by the police and the parents even sued them. The same problem arose for the American police that how to know whether the parents of those children are true or not? While the case was confusing, finally an expert suggested the way, 'even if the blood and bone samples do not match, but if the child's own sweat and saliva samples match, the truth will come out.' The police then immediately demanded various items belonging to the children from the claimant's parents. The children's samples were matched with the sweat and saliva samples on them. And after the sample was matched, it was proved that the child belonged to those parents. After that the children were handed over to him. While reading this case study written in this American book, it flashed in Sandeep Mishra's mind that if the same theory is used in the Jayaraj case, the case would be solved. He called Jayaraj's parents the next day and asked for things related to Jayaraj. Lakshman brought Jayaraj's childhood toys, current clothes, boots, socks, hat, school icard etc. The police sent him to the FSL laboratory in Chandigarh. Finally the case study theory read in the American book worked. The report arrived within a few days. Sweat samples on Jayaraj's belongings were matched to the carcass. The case was finally solved after thirteen months. Lakshmana and Yashoda were handed over their son's skull and cremated him on 12th May 2024 amid heart-rending sobs. Now another question before the police was who killed Jayaraj? But this was too easy for the police, as Laxman and Yashoda gave the suspect's name. The suspect was Manvendra, son of his half-brother Dashrath Patel. Police questioned Manvendra. He collapsed in three batons of the police. He confessed the crime and told the whole story. The story was that Laxman and Dashrath Patel had the same mother but different fathers due to the mother's second marriage. Laxman's father was Shyamalal Patel and Dasharath's father was Dhaniram Patel. Dasaratha had a son Manvendra and Lakshmana had no children. So Dasaratha thought that his elder brother had no children, so all his wealth would go to his son, but suddenly Lakshmana and Yashoda had a child there through IVF. Dashrath Patel also gave his young son Manvendra the bad habit of grabbing these crores of wealth. Manvendra wanted to thorn Jairaj for a long time. Finally he got that chance on 29th March-2023. He took Jayaraj to the farm on some pretext. They killed him by strangulation there and dug a shallow pit and buried the body, but suddenly after 45 days the dogs dug that shallow pit and cried out his sin. Finally the police filed a case of murder against the criminal Manvendra and imprisoned him. This case is included in the rare blind cases of our country as a test tube baby's DNA test, which was solved based on an American book.
