Recently, there have been many shocking incidents of rape in Gujarat. When such an incident happens, people get emotional like a soda bottle to punish the rapists, and then the excitement subsides just as quickly as the soda bottle. There is talk of hanging a killer-rapist, but on the other hand, many intellectuals are disturbed when the police kill a killer-rapist who has been proven to have committed the rape 100% in a true or false encounter. In their minds springs of pity do not burst forth for depraved rapists, but waves begin to rise in a tsunami of pity. They start calling for the rule of law and human rights. They forget about the human rights of the woman who was raped and killed by a depraved criminal. For rapists, disfigured or impotent men or defiled women do not arouse outrage, but anger erupts in the minds of ordinary citizens. It is natural, but the same indignation should be aroused in the minds of the rapists' colleagues and guardians as well. Whenever an incident of rape occurs, the rapist is obviously responsible for the crime, but the accomplices who directly or indirectly help him are equally guilty. There is a little talk that almost no one likes today about who are the accomplices and supporters of rapists in our country. Those who regard daughters as inferior to sons, and those who feel that the sun has risen in the west, the earth has sunk, or I have abandoned me, are the companions of the rapists. Mothers and fathers who see their sons insulting women and instead of stopping him, laugh at his behavior or try to cover it up, are also partners of rapists. They should burst with shame whenever there is any rape incident in the country. The distorted mentality of our society is also the most responsible for the incidents of rape, because in our country, when a woman is a victim of rape or sexual abuse, our society punishes the victim instead of the perpetrator. Therefore, our society is also an accomplice of rapists. Society looks at a rape victim woman as if she has committed a crime! Her parents from relatives to neighbors, acquaintances start questioning with words or eyes that 'What will happen to your daughter's marriage now? Who will marry your daughter now?' Such people are also accomplices of rapists. This mentality is shameful and shocking for any member of the society. The mental disorder of treating women as inferior to men is also responsible for incidents of rape. After the rape, the rape victim and her family are pressured to forgive the rapist (or to marry the rapist). In some cases, instead of taking complaints, police officers advise that 'what was meant to be done is done. Now finish talking! Take some more money if you want.' Politicians, evil social leaders or corrupt police officers who try to protect rapists are also accomplices of rapists. When a political party worker commits a heinous crime like raping or gang-raping or killing a girl, the whole thing is given a political color and there is a clamor that 'this is a conspiracy to defame our leader or our government.' Then the supporters of such political parties also become sure keepers of rapists. Similarly, opponents of political parties are also held responsible in cases of rape. When a political party organizes agitations on the issue of rape, the opponents of that political party reach the height of distortion and ask questions like where did you go when such an incident took place in the state under your rule? Due to the Nirbhaya massacre, the whole country was shocked. Even then, many intellectuals came to the fray in defense of the then Congress government. In the same way, BJP supporters came out in support of the BJP workers who were accused of gang rape in Varanasi, when a junior doctor raped a girl in Bengal and killed her, then Mamata Banerjee shouted instead of being ashamed, supporters and intellectuals came out in support of her. Even the evil and/or stupid people who react after seeing the religion of the accused when a rape occurs are accomplices of rapists. When a killer rapist is sentenced to death, the intellectuals who combine night and day and heaven and hell to pardon his death sentence also prove to be the keepers of rapists. The blood of many intellectuals of our country boiled when the gangland leader Akku Yadav, who had raped several women in Nagpur, was killed in the court by a group of busloads of women. He complained that if the law is to be taken in hand like this, then what is the meaning of the legal system in our country? Those intellectuals forgot that Akku Yadav had committed many crimes ranging from rape and extortion to murder, but the Khepani intellectuals who were advocating for Akku Yadav's human rights did not care about the human rights of those hundreds of women (and many men living in fear of him)!
