Yashaswi scores century in first Test in Australia: 3rd Indian to achieve such a feat; Kangaroos were pushed on the back foot against Team India

India have taken a 300+ run lead over Australia in the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Sunday is the third day of the match and the second session is underway. Yashaswi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli are at the crease for Team India.

Jaiswal completes his century by hitting a six off Josh Hazlewood. He became the third Indian to score a century in his first match in Australia. Before him, Sunil Gavaskar achieved this feat in 1977 and S Jayasimha in 1968.

Devdutt Padikal was dismissed for 25 runs off 71 balls. He was caught at slip by Steve Smith off the bowling of Josh Hazlewood. KL Rahul (77 off 176 balls) fell prey to Mitchell Starc.

Earlier, Australia was all out for 104 runs in the first innings. In this way, India got a lead of 46 runs on the basis of the first innings. The Indian team scored 150 runs in the first innings.
