WPL Mini Auction Today: 19 Slots Vacant in 5 Teams, Gujarat Giants Save Rs 4.40 Crore Highest

Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 mini auction will be held today i.e. 15th December. Bidding for 124 players will start from 3 pm in Bengaluru. The auction list includes 95 Indian and 29 international players.

There are 19 player vacancies in 5 teams of WPL, out of which 14 Indian and 5 foreign players will be bought. 3 players from allied countries have also been included in this list. Of the players available for auction, 33 players are capped, of which 12 are Indian, 21 are foreign. While out of the remaining 91 uncapped players, 83 are Indians and 8 are foreigners.

Purse limit Rs. 15 crores 5 teams have a total purse of Rs 16.7 crore, with Gujarat Giants the highest at Rs. 4.40 crore purse. The third season of WPL will start in January or February next year. The purse limit for a team is Rs 15 crore. After retaining the player, the team's purse has been cut. Delhi has Rs 2.50 crore and Mumbai only Rs 2.65 crore. In Bengaluru Rs. 3.25 crore purse and in UP Rs. 3.90 crore purse.

Sneh Rana and Diandra Dottin are among the marquee players Among the marquee players available for auction are Indian batsmen Tejal Hasbanis and Sneh Rana, West Indies' Diandra Dottin, English captain Heather Knight. Apart from this, Ireland's Orla Prendergast, England's Lauren Bell, Australia's Kim Garth and England's Daniel Gibson will also be auctioned.

MI released English all-rounder Isabelle Wong and GG released Indian all-rounder Sneh Rana. Wong's name has also not been added to the auction, while Rana's name will also be up for grabs.

Raghavi scored 2 consecutive fifties against Australia-A in August this year. After which he was recently selected in the T20 series against West Indies. 21-year-old batsman Tanisha Singh scored 359 runs at an average of around 72 while playing for Delhi in the Senior Women's T-20 Trophy. Delhi Capitals and Bengaluru can include him in their squad.

Which team retained how many players? A team has space for 18 players. Except UP, all the teams retained 14 players each. UP has retained 15 players. That is, only 3 players in UP and 4 players in other teams are vacant. RCB are the defending champions of the tournament. Mumbai won the title in the first season.
