Women's Cricket – India beat New Zealand by 6 wickets: Mandhana's century, Harmanpreet's fifty; Won the series 2-1

Indian women have won the 3-match ODI series between India and New Zealand women by 2-1. In the third and last one-day match of the series, the Indian team defeated New Zealand by 6 wickets.

Opener Smriti Mandhana played an innings of 100 runs for women's team India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, while captain Harmanpreet Kaur scored an unbeaten 59 runs. Deepti Sharma took 3 wickets.

After winning the toss and batting first, New Zealand women gave India a target of 233 runs, which the Indian women chased down by losing 4 wickets in 44.2 overs. Brook Halliday was the highest scorer for the Kiwi team with 86 runs. Hannah Rowe got 2 wickets.

Smriti Mandhana scored her eighth career century Chasing a target of 233 runs, the Indian women's team did not get off to a good start. Opener Shefali Verma was dismissed after scoring 12 runs. After this, Smriti Mandhana and Yastika Bhatia batted brilliantly. The duo put on 76 runs for the second wicket together. Sophie Devine dismissed Yastika for 35 to break the partnership. Deepti Sharma took 3 wickets Off-spinner Deepti Sharma sent 3 batters of the New Zealand women's team to the pavilion. She dismissed the match's top scorer Brook Halliday for 86 runs, Isabelle Gage for 25 runs and Hannah Rowe for 11 runs.
