Williamson to miss second Test: Injured in series against Sri Lanka, could make comeback in Mumbai

New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson will not play in the second Test against India in Pune. The second match of the Test series between India and New Zealand will be played in Pune from October 24. New Zealand head coach Gary Stead has given this information.

Williamson was recently injured during the Test series against Sri Lanka. He has returned to New Zealand for rehab. The team hoped that he would make a comeback in the second Test match against India.

New Zealand head coach Gary Stead told reporters in Pune on Monday that Williamson is currently rehabbing. His injury has largely healed, but he is not yet ready to return to Test cricket. He is expected to make a comeback from the final Test against India in Mumbai.
