Cricket Australia withdrew its decision Six years after banning David Warner, Cricket Australia has reversed its decision. A press release was issued by Cricket Australia, which said that on 25 October, a three-member panel of the Ethics Commission decided to lift the lifetime ban imposed on Warner. The panel found that Warner complied with the lifting of the ban as per the changes made to the Australian Cricket Code of Conduct in 2022.
Appealed for captaincy in 2022 It was only after a lifetime captaincy ban was imposed on him in 2018 that David Warner appealed for it to be withdrawn. Warner was so fed up with his ban in 2022 that he withdrew the appeal. Now after 6 years of waiting, Warner has finally been banned from captaincy. The ban on Warner was limited to Australia only.
