US Open: Iga Switek suffers upset: Polish star beaten by American Pegula, Janic Ciner beats Medvedev to top-4

World No. 1 tennis player Janic Siner has reached the semi-finals of the US Open tennis. While in the women's category, world number 1 Iga Switek has become a victim of an upset. Italy's Sinner defeated Russia's Medvedev 6-2, 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 in New York on Thursday. This match lasted for 2 hours and 29 minutes. Meanwhile, in the women's quarterfinals, Poland's Switek was beaten 6-2, 6-4 by American sixth seed Jessica Pegula in a quarterfinal that lasted one hour and 28 minutes. In the top-4 round, Sinner will face Jake Droper while Pegula will face Czech Republic's Karolina Muchova. Britain's 25th seed Jack Draper defeated Australia's Alex de Manure 6-3, 7-5, 6-2.
