Under-19 ODIs, India win series against Australia: beat second match by 9 wickets; Sahil's Century, Abhigyan's Fifty

India U-19 team has won the 3-match series against Australia U-19. In the second Under-19 ODI, India defeated Australia by 9 wickets. In the match being played in Puducherry, India won the match due to opener Sahil Parakh's century.

After winning the toss and batting first, the Kangaroo team were bowled out for 176 runs. In response, India chased down the target by losing 1 wicket in just 22 overs. Sahil Parkhe scored 109 runs and Abhigyan Kundu scored 53 runs for the team. Samarth Nagaraj, Mohammad Inan and Kiran Chormale took 2 wickets each. In the first ODI, India defeated Australia by 7 wickets. The third and final match will be played on September 26.

Australia lost the last 4 wickets for 26 runs Riley Kingsley and Alex Lee Young gave the Kangaroos a strong start. Mohammad Inan took the team's first wicket on a score of 36 runs. He bowled Alex Lee Young for 19 runs. After this, Riley Kingsley was run out for 15 runs. Kieran Chormale was dismissed after captain Oliver Peak scored 15 runs.

Addison Sheriff scored the highest 39 runs from Australia. Apart from that, Christian Howe played an innings of 28 runs. The last four batters could only add 26 runs to Australia's score. The entire team was all out after scoring 176 runs in the last over of the innings. For India, Samarth Nagaraj, Mohammad Inan and Kiran Chormale took 2 wickets each. Hardik Raj and Yudhjit Guha got 1 wicket each.

Mohammad Inan took 2 wickets.

Sahil's Century, Abhigyan's Fifty Chasing 177 runs, the Indian U-19 team got off to a poor start. The team lost the first wicket on the score of 24 runs. Opener Rudr Patel was dismissed after scoring 10 runs. After Rudra's dismissal, Sahil and Abhijian put on a century partnership. Both of them batted fast together and achieved the target of 177 runs in just 22 overs at a run rate of 8.04.

Sahil and Abhiyan added 153 runs for the second wicket. Sahil Parkh batted brilliantly and scored runs at a strike rate of 145. He played an innings of 109 runs off 75 balls. Sahil hit 14 fours and 5 sixes in the innings. Apart from that, Abhigyan Kundu scored 53 runs in 50 balls. He hit 9 fours in the innings. Harry Hoekstra took the only wicket of India U-19.

Sahil scored 109 runs at a strike rate of 145.
