Sri Lanka bowled out for 42 in first Test: 5 batters out for nil; Marco Janssen took 7 wickets from South Africa

In the first Test against South Africa, the Sri Lankan team was bowled out for just 42 runs. 5 batsmen could not even open their account and the team lost 10 wickets in 13.5 overs. Left arm pacer Marco Jansen took 7 wickets from South Africa.

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl at the Kingsmead Stadium in Durban. South Africa started play on Wednesday, with the team being bowled out for 191 runs. In this way, they got a lead of 149 runs in the first innings.

Dinesh Chandimal, Kusal Mendis, Prabhath Jayasuriya, Vishwa Fernando and Asitha Fernando were also unable to open the account. Angelo Mathews scored 1 run, Dimuth Karunaratne 2 runs and Pathum Nisanka 3 runs. Sa. Marco Janssen took 7 wickets from Africa. Gerald Coetzee took 2 wickets and Kagiso Rabada took 1 wicket.
