SMAT: Madhya Pradesh, Baroda, Mumbai and Delhi in semi-finals: MP beat Saurashtra by 6 wickets; Bengal lost by 41 runs, Vidarbha by 6 wickets and UP by 19 runs

Madhya Pradesh, Baroda, Mumbai and Delhi have reached the semi-finals of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Madhya Pradesh team defeated Saurashtra by 6 wickets on Wednesday. Baroda won against Bengal by 41 runs. Mumbai chased the target of 224 runs by losing 4 wickets. So Delhi defeated UP by 19 runs.

Venkatesh Iyer gave an all round performance from MP. He played an unbeaten innings of 38 runs off 33 balls. Also took 2 wickets. Here in Bengaluru, Baroda gave Bengal a target of 173 runs. In reply, the Bengal team was bundled out for 131 runs. Hardik Pandya got 3 wickets.

Mumbai beat Vidarbha by 6 wickets in the fourth quarter final. Mumbai chased 221 runs and won by scoring 224 runs in 19.2 overs. Delhi had given Uttar Pradesh a target of 194 runs. Against which UP was all out for 174 runs. From Delhi, Anuj Rawat scored 73 runs in 33 balls.

1. MP Vs Saurashtra: Venkatesh Iyer scored 38 not out, also took 2 wickets In Alur, Madhya Pradesh won the toss and decided to bowl. Batting first, Saurashtra scored 173 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Madhya Pradesh achieved the target of 174 runs with the loss of 4 wickets in the second ball of the 20th over. Arpit Gaur scored 42 off 29 balls for MP, while captain Rajat Patidar added 28 off 18 balls. Venkatesh Iyer returned unbeaten scoring 38 runs.

Chirag Jani played an unbeaten innings of 80 runs off 45 balls for Saurashtra. The rest of the batsmen could not score more than 20 runs. Venkatesh Iyer and Awesh Khan took 2 wickets each for MP. Tripuresh Singh, Shivam Shukla and Rahul Batham got one wicket each.

2. Bengal Vs Baroda: Shashwat Rawat's innings gave Baroda a target of 173 runs. In the first quarter final match being played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengal won the toss and decided to bowl. Baroda team scored 172 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Opener Shashwat Rawat played an innings of 40 runs in 26 balls. Abhimanyu Singh Rajput contributed 37 runs off 34 balls. Shivalik Singh also scored 24 runs.

For Bengal, Mohammed Shami, Kanishk Seth and Pradipta Pramanik took 2 wickets each. Sakshim Chaudhary got one wicket.

In reply, the Bengal team was all out after scoring 131 runs in 18 overs. Shahbaz Ahmed scored the highest 55 runs for the team. Hardik, Merivala and Atit Seth took 3 wickets each for Baroda.

Shashwat Rawat and Abhimanyu Singh shared an opening partnership of 90 runs.

Krunal Pandya (captain) and Hardik Pandya are playing Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Baroda.

3. Ajinkya Rahane Player of the Match In the fourth quarter final, Mumbai won the toss and decided to bowl. Batting first, Vidarbha scored 221 runs in 20 overs. Atharva Tayde scored the highest 66 runs for the team. Apurva Wankhed played an innings of 51 runs and Shubham Dubey played an innings of 43 runs.

In reply, openers Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane combined for 83 runs for the first wicket. Shaw scored 49 runs off 26 balls. Rahane played a match winning innings of 84 runs off 45 balls. Suryansh Shedge won the match by hitting a six. He scored an unbeaten 36 off 12 balls. Shivam Dubey played an innings of 37 runs off 22 balls.

4. Anuj Rawat's blistering innings, Delhi beat UP by 19 runs UP captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the toss and bowled first at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Delhi scored 193 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs. Anuj Rawat played an explosive innings of 73 runs in 33 balls. So opener Priyansh Arya scored 44 runs. Yash Dhul scored 42 runs. Nitish Rana, Mohsin Khan and Vinit Pawar took 1 wicket each for UP.

UPA lost a wicket in chasing the target of 194 runs. Experienced fast bowler Ishant Sharma bowled Karan Sharma. After this Priyam Garg scored 54 runs. However, apart from that, none of the batters could do anything special. Sameer Rizvi scored 26 runs and captain Bhuvneshwar scored 20 runs. Star batsman Rinku Singh also failed and was dismissed for just 10 runs. Along with this, the team was all out for 174 runs. Prince Yadav took 3 wickets from Delhi. Captain Ayush Badoni and Suyesh Sharma got 2 wickets each.

Delhi's Anuj Rawat scored 73 runs in 33 balls. He hit 7 fours and 5 sixes in his innings.
