Indian batsman Sai Sudarshan has undergone hernia surgery in London. Posting on his Instagram account on Tuesday, he wrote, “I will make a stronger comeback in a while.” Many thanks to the medical team and BCCI for their efforts and support.
The 23-year-old Sudarshan has made his ODI and T-20 cricket debut for India. Last month, he was part of the Indian team in the series against Australia-A. After which he returned home to participate in Sai Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Sai Sudarshan has shared a picture after the surgery on Instagram.
I will make a strong comeback soon Sai Sudarshan wrote in the caption of his Insta post, 'I will be stronger in a short time. He also tagged his IPL team Gujarat Titans in the post. Sudarshan played his last match on 23 November 2024 against Tripura at Syed Mushtaq Ali in Indore. After this he was out of the tournament. He could score only 9 runs in that match.
Gujarat Titans retained Gujarat Titans for IPL-2025 for Sudarshan Rs. 8.50 crores and was retained. He was the top scorer of the IPL 2024 season for the team. Sai scored 527 runs in 12 innings at an average of 47.90 and a strike rate of 141.28.
Sudarshan was Gujarat's top scorer in IPL 2024.
Vijay Hazare will not be able to play the trophy Sudarshan went to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) after the Mushtaq Ali Trophy. After which he underwent surgery in London. Sudarshan will not be seen playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy to be held from December 21 to January 18.
Scored a double century in the Ranji Trophy Sudarshan, a resident of Tamil Nadu, was in great form till November 2024. He scored a century against Australia-A in Mackay and scored 103 runs. He scored a double century (213 runs) in the Ranji Trophy for Tamil Nadu. Sai Sudarshan also hit 25 fours and 1 six during this innings.
Earlier, Sai Sudarshan scored 82 runs against Saurashtra. He also scored a century (105) for Surrey County against Nottinghamshire in England. He scored a century for India-C in the Duleep Trophy and scored 111 runs.
Sudarshan scored a brilliant century and scored 103 runs against Australia-A.
Debuted in July 2024 Sai Sudarshan made his T20 International debut in the second match against Zimbabwe in July 2024. He played 3 ODI matches for India before making his debut in T20 Internationals. He has 127 runs in ODIs.
