Rafael Nadal's retirement from tennis: Spanish player 22-time Grand Slam champion; Said – I will play for the last time in the Davis Cup next month

Legendary tennis player Rafael Nadal has announced his retirement from tennis. The Davis Cup final in November will be the last event of Nadal's career. He gave this information to fans through a social media post on Thursday.

The 38-year-old Spanish star has been struggling with injury problems for some time now. Nadal, winner of 22 Grand Slams, is counted among the world's greatest tennis players of all time. Among male players, only Novak Djokovic has won more Grand Slam singles titles than him. Djokovic has 24 titles to his name.

Nadal is the second player to win the most Grand Slams Nadal is the second player to win the most Grand Slams in men's singles. Nadal has won 22 titles. Talking about the most Grand Slam wins, Serbia's Novak Djokovic has won 24 Grand Slam titles so far. Just 4 years ago, Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer retired. Now Nadal has also said goodbye to the game. Federer won 20 Grand Slam titles.

Popularly known as the 'King of Red Clay' Nadal is the male player who has won the French Open title the most at 14 times. That is why Nadal is called the king of red clay. The French Open is played on clay courts i.e. courts made of red clay.

Participated in the French Open 18 times, winning 112 matches, losing only four Known as the king of red clay, Nadal created history by winning the French Open title for the 14th time in the year 2022. When Nadal won the trophy in 2022 at the age of 36, he became the oldest champion in the history of the tournament.
