Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Tuesday felicitated the athletes who won medals at the Paris Paralympic Games. During an event held in Delhi, he awarded gold medal winners with Rs 75 lakh, silver medal winners with Rs 50 lakh and bronze medal winners with Rs 30 lakh. Archer Sheetal Devi, who performed well in the mixed team event, was awarded an additional amount of Rs 22.5 lakh. India won 29 medals in Paris Paralympics India has won 29 medals in Paris Paralympic Games-2024. This time India is at 18th position with the help of 7 gold, 9 silver and 13 bronze. At the Tokyo Paralympics, the country was ranked 24th with a total of 19 medals. Promised full support and facilities Mansukh Mandaviya also promised full support and facilities to para-athletes to win more medals at the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics. He said that the country is moving ahead in Paralympics and Para Games. Out of 4 medals in 2016, India won 19 medals in Tokyo and 29 medals in Paris and finished 18th. We will provide all facilities to all our para-athletes so that we can win more medals and medals in 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics.
