Indian cricket team's fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah participated in Coldplay's concert in Ahmedabad on January 26. Bumrah, who was out of the team due to a back injury, was seen having a lot of fun at the concert. When Coldplay's lead singer Chris Martin called out Bumrah's name in the audience, the excitement of the fans was palpable. The British band also sang a few lines for the Indian fast bowler. Singer showed Bumrah's autographed jersey on stage
Coldplay displayed his signed Test jersey on stage in Bumrah's honor in Ahmedabad. This is not the first time that Coldplay has mentioned Bumrah at their concerts in India. Earlier during the Mumbai show, the band played a video of Bumrah against England's batting line-up in the 2024 Test series.

On the same show, Chris Martin joked that the band had received a legal notice from Bumrah's lawyers for using Bumrah's name during the concert. While reading the fictitious letter, Martin said, 'I am very sorry, but I want to read the letter from Jasprit Bumrah's lawyer. I have to do this, because otherwise we might get jailed and we won't be able to perform in Ahmedabad.
After he made several other references during the show, Bumrah himself finally arrived at the concert. The January 26 show was streamed live on Hotstar. Indian cricket fans jumped for joy watching Bumrah live on TV. Bumrah also enjoyed the concert and the atmosphere of the Narendra Modi Stadium filled with fans.
