New Zealand batsman Chad Bowes has become the fastest List A batsman to score a double century. Chad Bowes, playing for Canterbury Kings in New Zealand's domestic tournament Ford Cup, scored a 103-ball double century against Otago Vaults. He faced 110 balls and scored 205 runs.
Earlier this record was held by Australia's Travis Head and India's better N Jagdeesan. Both have scored double centuries in 114 balls.

Born in South Africa, Bowes started his career with the Proteas under-19 team before moving to New Zealand in 2015. He led South Africa in the 2012 Under-19 World Cup and was one of the highest run-scorers in that tournament.
