New Zealand have announced the squad for the 3 ODI and 2 T20 series tour against Sri Lanka next month. Mitchell Santner has been entrusted with the leadership of the team. The Kiwi team is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka after playing a Test series with India.
Currently the New Zealand team is on a tour of India. Kiwis have to play a three test match series here. New Zealand has won the first test match and has taken a 1-0 lead. Bowling all-rounder Nathan Smith and wicketkeeper-batsman Mitchell Haye have been given a chance in the Kiwi team for the first time.
Smith also took 3000+ runs and 250+ wickets in domestic cricket Born on 15 July 1998 in Dunedin, Otago, Nathan Smith has so far scored 3296 runs in domestic cricket, while taking 264 wickets. He has played 53 First Class, 46 List A and 60 T20 matches. He has scored 1919 runs in First Class, 872 runs in List A and 505 runs in T-20s. While he has taken 144 wickets in First Class, 55 in List A and 65 in T-20.
Nathan Smith received the Domestic Award in 2024 Nathan Smith was named New Zealand Cricket's Male Domestic Player of the Year at the ANZ New Zealand Cricket Awards in March this year. Nathan Smith took 24 wickets in ODIs and T20Is for the Firebirds last summer.
Mitchell has played 19 first class matches Born on 20 August 2000 in Canterbury, Mitchell Hay has played 19 First Class, 20 List A and 28 T20 matches so far. In which he scored 1244 runs in first class, 410 runs in ODIs and 308 runs in T20s. As for his performance behind the wicket, he has taken 61 catches in First Class, 15 in ODIs and 15 in T20s.
