Nahid Rana puts West Indies on the backfoot: Kingston take 211-run lead on Day 3 of Test; Shadman-Mehdi missed fifty

Faster Nahid Rana's (5 wickets) bowling has put Bangladesh on the backfoot in Kingston. Bangladesh team has made 193 runs for 5 wickets in the second innings till stumps on the third day of the match on Monday. Zakar Ali is unbeaten on 29 runs and Taijul Islam on 9 runs.

After the Bangladeshi team scored 164 runs in the first innings, West Indies were bowled out for 146 runs and got a lead of 18 runs. Currently the total lead of the team is 211 runs.

Bangladeshi fast bowler Nahid Rana took 5 wickets in the innings.

First wicket lost on zero, Shadman-Mehdi miss fifty Bangladesh got off to a bad start in the second innings. The team lost the first wicket at a score of nil. While Jayden Sills had Mahmudullah Hasan Joy caught at slip by Athenaz on the fifth ball of the first over. In such a situation, Shadman Islam led the innings with Shahadat Hussain, but he was dismissed for 46 runs. Captain Mehdi Hasan Miraj contributed 42 runs.

Shamar Joseph took two wickets from West Indies. Joyden Sills, Alzari Joseph and Justin Graves took one wicket each.

Shadman Islam played an innings of 46 runs from Bangladesh.

West Indies bowled out for 146, Casey Curty scored 40 runs West Indies were all out for just 146 runs in the first innings. Apart from the top-3, no bowler of the team could cross double figures. Opener Craig Brathwaite scored 39, Mike Lewis 12 and Casey Curty 40.

Besides Naheed Rana, Hasan Mahmood took 2 wickets. Taskin Ahmed, Taijul Islam and Mehdi Hasan Miraj took one wicket each.
