Modi writes to Neeraj Chopra's mother: Thanks for Churma, says – will give strength to serve country during Navratri

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday wrote to javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra's mother Saroj Devi, thanking her for her gesture. The PM hosted a dinner for the Prime Minister of Jamaica on 1 October. Neeraj also attended, during which he gave the PM a churma made by his mother to eat.

In fact, before going to Paris for the Olympics, Neeraj spoke to Modi through video conferencing. Here Modi requested Neeraj to feed Churma made by his mother.

Started the letter from respected Saroj Deviji Modi began his letter with 'Dear Saroj Devi Ji'. He further wrote, 'Greetings! Hope you are healthy, safe and happy. Had a chance to meet brother Neeraj at the luncheon yesterday. While discussing with him, he gave me delicious churma made by your hands, which added to my happiness.'

The PM further said, 'Neeraj often discusses this churma with him, but today he got emotional after eating it. This gift of your immense love reminds me of my mother.'

Neeraj Chopra gifted his javelin to PM Modi after winning gold medal in Tokf/a Olympics.

Modi said, Churma will give him strength to serve the country during Navratri Modi said that he will fast for 9 days of Navratri. The way his food gives Neeraj the energy to win medals for the country. Likewise, Churma will give him strength to serve the country for the next 9 days. In the end, Modi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Saroj Devi.

Neeraj finished second in the Diamond League These days Neeraj Chopra is practicing for the World Championship. Recently he was seen playing the Diamond League final in Brussels, Belgium. In which he finished second to Andersen Peters of Grenada. Neeraj could only win a silver medal at the Paris Olympics, with Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem winning the gold.
