Lalit Modi's allegation- umpire was being fixed in IPL: said- Srinivasan also fixed the auction; Lalit Modi had dated Sushmita Sen

IPL founder Lalit Modi has said in a podcast that the umpire was being fixed in the tournament. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) owner N Srinivasan used to appoint umpires from Chennai in CSK matches. He also fixed the auction to buy England's Andrew Flintoff.

Lalit Modi revealed this in a podcast with YouTuber Raj Shaman. Lalit Modi left India in 2010 after receiving death threats from underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. However, in the meantime BCCI also accused him of fraud of Rs 253 crore. There was also talk of Lalit Modi and Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen dating in July 2022.

Flintoff was sure to go to Chennai Raj Shamani released a video podcast with Lalit Modi on YouTube. In which Lalit Modi said that before the 2009 IPL, England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff had registered his name in the auction. CSK owner and BCCI secretary N Srinivasan then said that Flintoff should only be in his team.

Modi then asked other teams not to bid for Flintoff in the auction. The same happened in the auction and Flintoff was bought by CSK for $1.55 million. At that time, auctions were bid in dollars.

Lalit Modi said on social media that this is the first time he has spoken the truth about IPL.

Srinivasan also fixed the umpires Lalit Modi further said that Srinivasan also fixed the umpire in IPL. He appointed umpires from Chennai for the matches of Chennai Super Kings. Srinivasan believed that the IPL would not succeed. When the tournament became successful, he started fixing umpires himself.

The BCCI accused him of cheating in 2010 Lalit Modi was the BCCI Vice President till 2010. He was expelled from the BCCI after the final between Mumbai and Chennai that year. BCCI accused him of fraud of Rs 253 crore. Srinivasan was the BCCI secretary at that time.

N Srinivasan was the BCCI President from 2011 to 2014.

  • According to reports, the BCCI has leveled 22 charges against Lalit Modi, including awarding contracts to his family, using IPL broadcasts for his own benefit, rigging auctions, etc.
