Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) released their captain KL Rahul ahead of the IPL mega auction. Star Sports published an interview with KL Rahul on 12 November.
Talking to Star Sports, Rahul said, 'I want to start fresh. I wanted to look at my options and play somewhere where I could have some freedom. He continued, 'Sometimes you need to go away and find something better for you.'
Rahul said, “You look at teams like Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, whether they win or lose, they always look balanced. Apart from this, the dressing room is also very quiet. This is very important for me as a player. I think if that happens it gives all the players the best chance to perform.'
Lakhan released Rahul All 10 teams announced the player retention list on October 31 for the IPL Mega Auction-2024. LSG released its captain KL Rahul. The team has retained five players. It includes Nicholas Pooran, Mayank Yadav, Ayush Badoni, Mohsin Khan and Ravi Bishnoi.
LSG was eliminated from the league stage last year In the IPL-2024 season, the Lucknow Super Giants team could not make it to the playoffs. The team managed to win only 7 out of 14 matches and finished seventh in the league stage points table.
During IPL-2024, Sanjeev Goenka got angry with Rahul Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) beat Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 10 wickets during the IPL-2024 season. After this a video of LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka and KL Rahul surfaced. Sanjeev Goenka is seen in anger in the video.
