KL Rahul now runs seven and a half!: LSG can cut their captaincy; Rohit-Hardik's place in Mumbai Indians confirmed

As a player you have to perform consistently. Then you play as a player or as a captain. Your team wants results. Cricket is a team game and even in that if the performance is not good then in such a big country like India every player can be cut anytime. This is what is happening with KL Rahul right now. On the one hand, there are reports that KL Rahul may be dropped from the second Test. On the other hand now the reports regarding IPL say that LSG may release him. It means that Lucknow Supergiants will not return Rahul in the mega auction.

An official of Lucknow Super Giants has said that our retention list is not ready yet. We will announce our list on October 29. As far as strike rate is concerned, his strike rate was bad even before he was made captain. A report claims that the franchise is going to release Rahul. The IPL mega auction could be held in November or December, though the date and venue of the auction is yet to be decided.

Retention means that players whose names remain on this list will not be auctioned. He will continue to be part of the franchise.

So, Mumbai Indians can retain Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya in IPL. A franchise source told Bhaskar that the management is considering retaining the four.

The mega auction of IPL-2024 can be held in November-December. The date and venue of its event is yet to be decided.

Reports claim- LSG will not retain KL Rahul TOI, citing sources in its report, claimed that Lucknow Supergiants are going to release Indian batsman KL Rahul. The fast bowler may retain Mayank Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi and Nicholas Pooran.

Based on LSG's sources, the report claims that team mentor Zaheer Khan and coach Justin Langer have analyzed KL Rahul's stats. It became clear that the team lost almost all the matches. KL Rahul has batted for a long time and scored runs. But his strike rate does not match the pace of the game.

The score is getting higher with the impact player rule. A top player in the top order cannot afford to take so long to play. The franchise has not ruled out bidding for Rahul. In the last three seasons, KL Rahul has scored 1410 runs and his strike rate has been 130.65. Rahul scored two centuries in the 2022 season. On the one hand, Rahul's place in the Indian team is also in doubt, and now on the other hand, reports that LSG might release him may cut him off.

MI will use RTM card for Tilak-Ishan Sources in Mumbai said that the franchise could use right-to-match cards on Tilak Verma and Ishan Kishan. The franchise is also eyeing other young players.
