Australia fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting December 6 in Adelaide. He has a low grade left side injury (lower abdominal pain).
Cricket Australia said on Friday night that Sean Abbott and Brendan Doggett have been included in the squad to replace Hazlewood. Hazlewood took 5 wickets in the Perth Test. He took 4 wickets in the first innings and one in the second innings.

Marsh also injured, doubtful to play second Test Australian team all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is also injured. His muscles are stretched. Marsh's play in the second Test is in doubt. All-rounder Beau Webster has been included in the team in his place.
Marsh had muscle cramps after the Perth Test. Australian head coach Andrew Macdonald said on Marsh's injury – 'Marsh's fitness is in some doubt.' Australian captain Pat Cummins also expressed concern about Marsh's fitness.
All-rounder Beau Webster was included in the squad in place of Mitchell Marsh.
Boland can play in the practice match Scott Boland may be given a chance to replace Hazlewood in the second practice match starting today. Boland will play for PM Evelyn during the two-day practice match. Boland played his last Test match in the 2023 Ashes Test at Leeds.
India lead 1-0 in BGT The Indian team is leading 1-0 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The team defeated Australia by 295 runs in four days in the first Test. The second match of the Border-Gasker Trophy will be played in Adelaide from December 6.
