Indian fast bowler Shami fit: Batting coach said- Managing the decision to play in the third T-20, has been away from cricket for one year.

On Monday evening, the third T-20 against England, Team India batting coach Sitanshu Kotak said that fast bowler Mohammad Shami is perfectly fit. Prior to the third T20, the media questioned Shami's fitness.

Kotak said, “Mohammad Shami is fit right now, Captain Suryakumar Yadav and coach Gautam Gambhir will take the decision on his play. There is currently no question of Shami's fitness, but the team will take the final decision on playing her.

Shami has been included in the Indian team for the ODI series against England and the Champions Trophy from February 19. The third match of the 5 -match series between India and England will be played in Rajkot today at 7:00 pm.

ODI was last played for India in the World Cup final

Mohammad Shami gave Australia the first blow to the final of the ODI World Cup 2023. He caught David Warner (7 runs) by Kohli.

Mohammad Shami played his last international match on November 19, 2023. It was the final match of the ODI World Cup. Shami took a wicket in that match. The Indian team lost the match by 6 wickets.

Last year had foot surgery

Shami underwent ankle surgery in England in January 2024. Shami was at Rehab camp at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for several months. He then made a comeback in professional cricket in the Ranji Trophy in October 2024.

Demonstration in domestic cricket this year Shami Ranji returned after an injury from a Bengal match against Madhya Pradesh in the Trophy's Round 1. He performed impressive in Syed Mushtaq Ali (T-20) and Vijay Hazare Trophy (ODI). It was not selected in the Indian team for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) because of not fully fit.

Ready to perform well in England match- Wood A day before the match, England player Mark Wood said at a press conference that England's team is positive. There are still three matches left in the series and we will do our best to win it. The second match was very close after losing the first match so the team will now field with more efforts in the next match.

The second match of the series was very fun. The trend of the match can be changed quickly in the T-20 format, too in just one over, so now England's team is ready to perform better in the upcoming matches.
