The International Cricket Council (ICC) has banned America's National Cricket League (NLC). The ICC wrote to the United States of America Cricket (USAC) informing it of its decision not to sanction future editions of the league. The letter mentions non-compliance with Playing-11 rules.
The last season of the NCL was played between 4 and 14 October. Chicago CC under the captaincy of Robin Uthappa won the title by defeating the Atlanta Kings by 43 runs. God of cricket Sachin Tendulkar gave him the trophy.

What rules were violated?
- According to ICC rules, every team playing in the league must have at least 7 American players in their playing XI. But in many matches 6-7 foreign players were fielded.
- The match used a drop-in pitch, which was very poor. The pitch was so bad that Wahab Riaz and Tymal Mills had to spin bowling to avoid damaging the batters.
- League officials broke US immigration rules to give foreign players a chance. For sports category visa in USA, minimum cost is 2 lakh US dollars for 6 teams. Many players did not come on a sports visa to save money.
Names like Tendulkar, Gavaskar and Akram are associated with the league NCL appointed former cricketers like Wasim Akram and Vivian Richards as brand ambassadors. Its ownership group includes Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar.
