Govt may award Khel Ratna to Manu after controversy: first list did not include name; Bhakar won a double medal in Paris

Government may give Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award to shooter Manu Bhakar. According to the information, Sports Ministry is preparing to award Khel Ratna to Manu through executive authority (privilege).

A source told Times of India 'The names are yet to be decided and the award may be announced within a week. The Sports Minister will take a decision on this in a day or two. There is every possibility that Manu's name will appear in the final list.
