Team India has suffered another setback ahead of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Batter Shubman Gill is also injured. According to reports, Gill injured his finger while fielding in the slips during a match simulation in Perth on Saturday. Gill has injured his finger but it is too early to say whether he will play in Perth, a source told TOI. The medical team is monitoring it, a decision will be taken after 2-3 days.
A day before this, KL Rahul was also hit by the ball and could not continue the practice. Virat Kohli was also scanned. However, it was later learned that Kohli was perfectly fine.
The Indian team will begin their tour of Australia from November 22 with the first Test in Perth. The Indian team has to play a 5 test match series there. This series is important for the Indian team from the point of view of the World Test Championship.

KL Rahul suffered an elbow injury Earlier, KL Rahul was injured. During a practice match on Friday, Rahul was hit on the elbow by the famous Krishna ball and went off the field for a scan. Meanwhile, Australian media claimed that Kohli has also undergone a scan for an undisclosed injury. The Bengaluru batsman scored his last Test century against South Africa at Centurion in December 2023 and since then has scored just 2 fifties in nine innings.
Claim- Kohli was also scanned Australian newspaper Sydney Morning Herald claimed that star batsman Virat Kohli underwent a scan on Thursday for an undisclosed injury. However, he was not stopped from playing in the practice match and scored 15 runs before being dismissed.
A source told PTI about this, 'There is no concern about Virat Kohli at the moment.' He has struggled to score big runs and his last Test century was against the West Indies in Port of Spain in July 2023. Since then, the 36-year-old has scored just two fifties in 14 Test innings. In the last 60 innings, Kohli averaged 31.68 with only two centuries. His average in 2024 is just 22.72 in six Tests.
