Geoff Allardis has resigned from the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the ICC. Allardis remained in this position for four years. After removing Manu Sahni from the post in 2020, Allardis served on the interim basis for eight months. After this, he was appointed in November 2021.
He expressed his desire to face new challenges. He has been working in the ICC since 2012. Initially as the General Manager of Cricket, he also worked in Cricket Australia.
Manu Sahni was removed from the ICC CEO position in 2020.
I am proud of all the goals we achieved Allardis said, 'It is a matter of pride for me to work as the ICC's CEO. I am proud of the goals we have achieved during this time, whether it is to take cricket globally or give financial benefits to ICC members. '
He further said, 'In the last 13 years, I am grateful to the ICC president, all the members of the board and the entire cricket group for immense support. I am confident that the time to come will be exciting for cricket and I wish the global cricket group a good luck for this. '
ICC Chairman Jay Shah praised After the resignation, ICC President Jay Shah has praised the allerdies. Shah said, “On behalf of the ICC board, I want to thank him for the contribution of Geoff. He has worked hard to take cricket to the global level. We are happy with his service and wish him good luck for his future. '
