Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli, two famous disciples of late cricket coach Ramakant Achrekar, met yesterday i.e. December 3 during the unveiling of a memorial to their coach on his birthday in Mumbai. Meanwhile, the handshake scene between Tendulkar and Kambli went viral on social media.

His condition improved after several health problems in the early 2010s. In 2013, he suffered a cardiac arrest while traveling from Chembur to Bandra. He was immediately admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. Earlier in the year 2012, he underwent angioplasty for two blocked arteries.
