The BCCI selectors have taken a U-turn on the selection of KL Rahul for the England series. The selectors have asked him to play the ODI series against England, so that Rahul gets a good practice before the Champions Trophy.
The Times of India quoted sources as claiming that earlier the decision was taken to rest Rahul until the Champions Trophy, which has now changed.
Team India has to play 3 ODIs and 5 T20 series before the Champions Trophy. The ODI series matches will be played on February 6, 9 and 12. At the same time, the T20 series matches will start from January 22.
Rahul played in all Border-Gavaskar matches KL Rahul played all the Border-Gavaskar Trophy matches in Australia. He scored 276 runs at an average of 30.66 in 5 Test matches. Which includes 2 half centuries.
Karnataka was also left out of the Vijay Hazare Trophy squad Rahul has decided to stay out of the Vijay Hazare Trophy as well. The Karnataka team will play the quarter final match against Vadodara today i.e. 11th January. Rahul will not play in this. Rahul won't take part in the Vijay Hazare Trophy even if the Karnataka team advances to the quarter-finals with a win.
