The India-A team has been eliminated from the Emerging Asia Cup 2024. Afghanistan A beat India by 20 runs in the semi-final at the Al Emirates Cricket Ground in Muscat on Friday.
Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat first. The team scored 206 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs. In response, the Indian team could score only 186 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Now Afghanistan-A will face Sri Lanka-A in the final match to be held on 27th October. In the other semi-final, Sri Lanka-A defeated Pakistan-A to make it to the final.
Ramandeep scored 64 runs The Indian team lost wickets continuously while chasing the target. At one point the score of the team was 100 runs for five wickets. From here Ramandeep Singh took over the innings and batted quickly. But his innings could not win India the match. Ramandeep scored 64 runs off 34 balls which included 8 fours and two sixes. Ayush Badoni contributed 31 runs and Nishant Sindhu 23 runs. Allah Ghazanfar and Abdul Rehman took two wickets each for Afghanistan-A.

Two half-centuries came from Afghanistan Batting first for Afghanistan-A, Zubed Akbari and Sidiqullah Atale put on 137 runs for the first wicket. So 83 runs were scored in 52 balls. While Akbari played an innings of 64 runs in 41 balls. Karim Janat also contributed 41 runs. Rasikh Salam was the highest wicket taker for India-A with 3 wickets.
India topped Group-B India-A won all three matches played in the group stage and topped the points table with 6 points to make it to the semi-finals.
Pakistan and Sri Lanka have won two titles each This is the sixth season of the ACC Men's Emerging Asia Cup. Six teams participated this time. Group-A consists of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. While Group-B consists of India, Pakistan, Oman and UAE. Pakistan and Sri Lanka have won two titles each. India has won once. India won the title in 2013 by defeating Pakistan.
