Defending champion Novak Djokovic of Serbia has reached the third round of the US Open. Djokovic received a walkover in the second round match on Wednesday night. Laszlo Jarre of Serbia retired due to injury in the second round. Djokovic won this match 6-4, 6-4, 2-0. This was Djokovic's 90th win at the US Open. With this win, Djokovic became the first tennis player to win more than 90 matches in all four Grand Slams. Djokovic to face Poperin in fourth round 24-time Grand Slam champion Djokovic will face 28th seed Aleksei Popirin in the fourth round on Friday. Jarre was the only player to win a set against Djokovic at the US Open last year. Djokovic defeated Radu Albot of Moldova 6-2, 6-2, 6-4 in the first round. Wimbledon champion Krascikova out of US Open Wimbledon champion Barbora Krascikova crashed out in the second round of the US Open after losing 4-6, 5-7 to Elena Gabriela Roos. Eighth-ranked Krascikova has not played a match since the Paris Olympics. Roos will now face 26th seed Paula Badosa. Badosa defeated American Taylor Townsend 6-3, 7-5. Tiafoe to face Shelton In men's singles, Francis Tiafoe beat Alexander Shevchenko 6-4, 6-2, 1-0. Tiafoe will now face Ben Shelton. Shelton, seeded 13th, defeated Roberto Bautista Agut 6-3, 6-4, 6-4.
