Border said- Australia gave Kohli a chance to score a century: Now the series may be lost; Hayden said – Short ball not bowled

Former Australia captain Allan Border has expressed disappointment over Australia's inability to dismiss Virat Kohli in the Perth Test. He said – the Australian team gave Kohli a chance to score a century. Due to which Aussies may have to lose the 5 match series.

The 69-year-old borderer told SEN Radio on Friday – 'I'm disappointed with the way we allowed Kohli to score a century without resistance. We don't want this boy (Kohli) to play with confidence throughout the series.'

Kohli has returned to form by scoring a century in the second innings of the Perth Test. He has not scored a single Test century in the last one and a half years. India won that match by 295 runs. Team India is currently leading the series 1-0. The second Test will be played in Adelaide from December 6.

Pat Cummins' captaincy questioned Border also questioned captain Pat Cummins' tactics. He said – He (Pat Cummins) gave Kohli a chance to regain his rhythm after struggling in the home series against New Zealand. Kohli has scored his seventh century in Australia.

Hayden also got angry and said- delayed the short ball Former opening batsman Matthew Hayden also criticized Cummins. “Kohli should have been dismissed early in his innings,” Hayden told Channel 7. The field placements were such that he scored easily, when he was under pressure earlier.'

Hayden said that Australia were also late in bowling the short ball. Jaiswal also could not play the short ball. Maybe Pat Cummins should have used such a ball first. The Indian team was under pressure due to a poor performance in the first innings, but now the team is opening up.
